Wear-resistant elbows are the blood of industrial production in material conveying applications. Ensuring the service life of wear-resistant elbows is a prerequisite for safe and efficient production. Compared with bent pipes, the wear of straight pipes is generally much smaller. Wear-resistant elbows mainly consider the wear of elbows during transportation. Ceramic wear-resistant pipes will be worn through when using elbows in transportation applications in the industry; if the bending radius of the elbow is too small, the breakage rate will increase when conveying brittle materials; if the bending radius is too large, conveying synthetic materials will produce stringing question. Based on long-term experience, the main factors causing wear of the wear-resistant elbow due to material impact or friction on the inner wall of the pipe are as follows:
(1) The physical properties of wear-resistant elbows used to transport materials in transportation applications. Including particle size and shape, concentration, hardness, moisture, breakage rate and adhesion, etc.
(2) Condition of wear-resistant elbow. Including the material and metal structure composition, hardness, surface processing, inner diameter, layout and shape of the wear-resistant elbow conveyed.
(3) Conveying conditions. Wear-resistant elbows include conveying air flow speed, material-gas ratio, temperature and flow state, etc.
In actual transportation, the impact on wear-resistant elbow wear does not exist singly, but occurs comprehensively. Therefore, even for the same material, the wear-resistant elbows made of the same material will wear differently due to different conveying conditions. At the same time, from a professional perspective, the original factors of wear-resistant elbow wear are analyzed. The scraping of the wear-resistant elbow is the impact of particles on the material at opposite angles. After the impact, the kinetic energy is used to scrape the material. This type of wear mainly determines the flow rate of the medium and the roughness of the surface in the inner wall of the pipe.
